Music Mondays: it’s you, it’s you, it’s all for you

5 Mar

I heard Lana Del Rey’s music for the first time about a month ago, and I totally thought that I was the first person ever to discover her. Seems like I had it wrong. Oh well. This is a weirdly haunting song for your Mondays.

‘Haunting’ is right. Wish I wasn’t at work so I could listen to it right now. Love, love, love.

I really enjoy LDR (just listened to her album whilst grading first year assignments), but she is too overplayed, IMO. Was at the cinema on Saturday, and in between showings, they must have rotated Born to Die and Video Games about a million times.

I have clearly not been living in this world, because I totally thought that I was the only person who had ever heard of her, until a couple of weeks ago. Ehh, I live in my own little world, it seems. :P

I Love her! I have a sort of weird love for her songs. Did you ever hear Outta Luck? Love the tune in that one :)

I know it’s early in the year, but I reckon that Born To Die will probably be in my top 3 albums of 2012. So good!
Also, this remix of Blue Jeans is awesome: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Bqf_Lskb0A

Let me know what you think! =)
