Aqua Mirabilis (Body Butter from Lush): Mini-Review

16 Apr

I recently got this body butter from Lush in Dundee. One word: amazing. This is what the Lush website says about it:

“Give your skin a shower massage with this skin-conditioning super-bar. Helen Ambrosen, product inventor, created a cocoa and almond butter mixture of perfect consistency to moisturise your skin without leaving it feeling greasy. Ground almond shells rub away dead skin and leave it soft, clear and smooth. Sandalwood and rose oils calm your skin and create a beautiful fragrance.”

This slab of body butter smells like some sort of ground biscuits and cookies, and is so smooth to the touch. After showering, stay in the shower (with your skin still wet, but no water coming directly onto you) and rub it all over. The bar has little granules that gently exfoliate your skin, and makes a light creamy lather which makes skin extra soft. When you’re done, rinse off all the granules and that’s it! No need to apply moisturiser either. I am in love with this body butter. The smell lingers on your skin and makes you feel really pampered. It’s cheaper than the more popular Lush body butter, and is actually lasting me quite a long time. Make sure you don’t leave it in the shower, or it will disappear very quickly! Anyway, my verdict is very positive. I love this and can’t wait to get more slabs. Such a pity there is no Lush in Malta any more.

You should get one whenever you can! It’s really great and I feel ever so pampered and touchable after I get out of the shower now :)
